Description

I'm a game school drop out who makes games, I enjoy doing all parts of game creation but behind the code is where I really shine. I've been making games for a few years and see no end in sight provided I don't get shanked tomorrow.

History

10 - 15

Not much happened here game dev wise, I had a dream of making games like most of my peers but had no idea I could do it on my own. I got my first console(ps2) and became obsessed with SSX3 and N, both of which I feel inspired me to make games.

16 - 20

I started making games and art in this time after my very influential Java classes in grade 11 and 12. These were mostly script-kiddie bulletin board RPGs, platformers with physics so ghetto I can't even call it ghetto physics, and some little trippy applications. I then moved on to game school getting accepted at the last minute despite being one of the only classmates with games(although shitty) under their belt. It was in the flash classes we had here that I realized how easily I could get my games to a decent audience and a spark was lit. All I was doing after that was ignoring most the lessons to make my own games when I figured it would be a smart move to drop out and stop letting school get in the way of building up a portfolio of games.

21 - (Date.getDate()-new Date(1990,27,11))

More recently I have still been chugging away at making games. I went viral with Snakes On A Cartesian Plane and snagged a job at a small company that makes facebook games. In the hours I'm not at work I usually work on whatever project has my interest that moment. I don't spend a whole lot of time not making games.

Snakes On A Cartesian Plane

Snakes was a game I first prototyped during the Glorious Trainwrecks 2012-in-1 Pirate Kart Jam. Since the 'goal' of that kart was to have 2012 games I figured I would just focus on quantity making 30 versions of the same game. After the 2 day jam I slowly polished the game over a few months adding and removing snake variants, adding menus, sound, etc.
